Comfortable stay with all the amenities

Our first impression upon arriving was a little disappointing. The photos in the add embellished the unit and we are not sure how recently the property was remodeled. The ocean views could be had looking across the main road and through the covered parking, but yes, we could see the ocean. The pool needed some cleaning and the hot tub could fit about 2 people (Not kidding). Oh well, we weren't there for the pool. That being said, the property did grow on us after a couple of days. It had all the comforts of home and was very clean. The tidel pools in front of the complex were beautiful and we did spend a few mornings enjoying the water. The location was very central to the area and everything was within walking distance if you chose to. One other surprise was we were tagged with some extra charges 6 weeks after our initial booking (About $40). No explanation until I reached out to Knutson and Associates. Bottom line is we did enjoy our stay at the Bali Kai, and would recommend it. Just take the ads photos and description with a grain of salt.

Regarding the pool and hot tub, these are maintained by the HOA, and while we don’t have direct control over them, we do share feedback when concerns are brought to our attention so they can address any issues promptly.


We’re glad to hear the unit grew on you and that you found it clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. The tide pools and central location along Alii Drive are definitely special features, and we’re happy you were able to enjoy those during your stay.


As for the additional charge, we understand how that can be frustrating without clear communication upfront. We’re glad you reached out so we could clarify, and we’ll continue working to ensure all charges are as transparent as possible from the start.

Turns out both the pool and the laundry were across the street. The bed looks good, but the platform is much wider than the mattress. Everything else was provided, lot's of storage space. I am not from Emeryville as noted.

It’s a well equipped, maintained bnb with cozy bed and tasteful interior decor. But there is traffic noise since it is right by the road and you can hear people upstairs walking which is the most annoying thing.
