Oceanfront Living with Unforgettable Sunsets

We spent seven nights here in January with our adult son and absolutely loved it. The condo is beautiful, comfortable, and impressively well stocked—beach chairs, boogie boards, mats, pool noodles, and even a pickleball set. Just bring your sunscreen.
The wraparound lanai was a highlight, perfect for watching the action on lively Alii Drive and the surfers across the street at Magic Sands Beach. And the sunsets? Spectacular. The living room was spacious with ocean views everywhere, the kitchen clean and tidy, and both bedrooms very comfortable. Bathrooms were perfectly adequate, and having a washer and dryer was a big plus.
There’s an elevator to the third floor (with several steps to reach it), but we mostly took the stairs and called it our Mai Tai workout. Assigned parking was conveniently located below the unit. The pool was nice, though we didn’t use it much.
Yes, the street out front is busy and noisy—but we expected that, and the view more than made up for it. The management company was responsive and helpful. Overall, a clean, spacious, well-equipped condo with an oceanfront view—hard to beat!

This condo is managed by a 3rd party company that has it's own 11 page contract you have to agree too, that's not mentioned when booking. This unit as at the top of a 4 story building and there's no way up but to take the stairs, be ready for this! The home it's self is very spacious, the mirrors everywhere are super nice touch and make the space feel larger. The owners have left so much behind to make your stay easier, nicer and just overall more pleasant. There are a ton of little bugs that come into the unit but they don't really bother you. The spare bathroom toilet leaks, so you may be stepping on toilet water in the mornings, I put a rag on the ground by it so help. There IS a stackable washer and dryer, which is AMAZING to have. Especially since you are required to clean before you leave, dishes, trash, linens, you name it. You're also asked to not change the AC, it can't go below 73. It smells moldy, like mildew (probably just from the all the water in the air and they aren't using a dehumidifier). but it works and that's really nice cause it gets HOT in Kona. Being next to the beach is WONDERFUL you are by Beach 22. There is a long skinny parking space for your rental car. Getting luggage out of it was a mission... thank god we had a drop top car cause we couldn't get the doors opened. Getting out of the unit with your car, BE CAREFUL, entering the main street is about timing cause there's not a real good way to see oncoming traffic.... Other than that, I really enjoyed this unit and am thankful we were able to book it. The balcony on this unit is HUGE and just PERFECT!

We do want to clarify a few items for future guests. The building does have an elevator, so stairs are not the only access—please don’t hesitate to reach out during your stay if anything is unclear, as we’re always happy to help. Our rental agreement is standard for professionally managed vacation homes and is disclosed during the booking process to ensure guests are aware of policies, house rules, and expectations.
Regarding your other comments:
We’re sorry to hear about the toilet concern—this is not typical, and we would have immediately addressed it had we been notified during your stay.
In Hawai‘i’s tropical climate, occasional insects can occur despite regular pest control, but we’re always happy to send service if needed.
The AC settings are in place to help preserve the system’s performance in our climate, and we do disclose this in advance.
As for checkout, we only ask for light departure tasks (trash, dishes, etc.), with full cleaning handled by our professional housekeeping team.
