Sharon Knutson grew up on the beautiful Hawaiian Island of Maui, consistently around the warm
feelings of Aloha, locals provide in the islands. Being a firm believer of Aloha, she has integrated this philosophy into Knutson & Associates.
Sharon attended the University of Hawaii, focusing on Accounting and Finance. She was first licensed at the age of eighteen on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. Her career in real estate started with commercial sales in Downtown Honolulu;
Sharon is a third generation Realtor in her family owned business. Sharon was the Broker in Charge of Knutson & Associates for many years, all while raising 3 kids, and 2 dogs. Family is very important to Sharon; This reflects in the relationships she has with

Jim Cotter arrived in Kona in 1974 after graduating from Harvard. He entered the real estate
profession in 1975, added an electrician's license in 1981, and an ocean operator's license several years later. After owning and operating his own charter boat business for a decade in Kaneohe Bay, he returned to the Big Island to lead a team of electricians
in construction of the Gemini 8M telescope at the summit of Mauna Kea. As a proud associate at Knutson & Associates, he continues to enjoy the diversity and adventure of real estate transactions.

Lisa Folden is originally from San Diego and moved to Kona in the 1980’s. With an active
lifestyle, the move was an easy transition. With interests like running, biking and diving,
Kona is the perfect place to play.
She and her husband Tim started off as coffee farmers on a large productive coffee estate
in South Kona. She is a big believer in utilizing all of our natural resources to sustain the
people in Hawaii.
With a background in Education, Lisa is very involved with the public education system.
Participating on many levels of volunteering and spearheading functions that benefit our
children of Hawaii. She is also a member of South Kona Education of the Arts and is a
registered artist.
Lisa was first interested in Real Estate when she had questions on unique Hawaii land
laws and leases. After searching out the answers, she found herself educating her peers
on these matters. A Real Estate license was the final step in the process.
She enjoys
helping families re-locate to Hawaii and guiding first time buyers though the process of
buying a home. She has experience with local short sales and foreclosures and would
love to help you live your "Tropical Dream".
