Overall Kona Isle is a beautiful location. Our rental E24 was nice however we made a complaint about the ceiling fan needing to be tightened to the ceiling but it was not resolved due to the property mngmt needing approval from the owner. I understand if it was a matter of replacement but this was a repair and a hazard. We didn't use the ceiling fan so it was pretty hot. The floor fans and box fan provided were so rusty and caked with dirt on the fan blades there was no way we were going to use them so we had to buy new CLEAN fans so as not to breath rust and dirt. Lastly the andvertized lagoon is a joke as it is maintained by the State who doesn't maintain it and It is not safe ti swim in ans it's full of bacteria and green dirty water. It should not be advertised. Aside from that everything else was good. The view was breathtaking the salt water pool on the property was delightful and we spent a lot of time there. After 5 the grills were available (the construction in that area during the day was very quiet).

We spent most of our time on the lanai looking at the ocean, palm trees and sunsets. The view is great from the living room and kitchen as well. The walk in shower was really nice! The house was well equipped with kitchen stuff and outdoor gear including a couple of snorkel gear sets. Gorgeous vegetation around the buildings and a nice sandy spot in front of the shore with lounge chairs and palm trees. It's a shame we never got in the pool, it looked real nice with a recessed outdoor shower. The lockbox outside the door made it handy that we didn't have to tote the key around. The unobstructed view of the Pacific was heavenly. Mahalo

Very nice and affordable oceanfront property on the Kona coast. The owners thought of everything, including details like copious amount of laundry detergent packages, plenty of hangers. beach chairs, and a cooler with ice packs. Very clean and comfortable with great view of the ocean and sunset. Reserve parking is nice with plenty of space. Only oddity is kitchen doesn't have a full-size oven - just a toaster oven, so don't plan on making your Thanksgiving Turkey there. Other than that I would highly recommend. We had a very enjoyable time.

This is a great condo and we would definitly stay here again. It was spacious and had a great lanai which we spent every morning sitting on for breakfast and evenings were spent here as well watching a beautiful sunset. Bed was great!

What a view! We were very happy with this property and would DEFINITELY stay here again and recommend it. There is no AC and it was not needed at all -the ocean breeze kept the room plenty cool and it was in the upper 80's our entire trip. The room was clean and super stocked - more stocked with everything we needed and MORE. As other guests have stated - there seems to be an ant problem.. but you can see they are trying to handle it and we made sure to not leave any food out so we only saw a few. Hawaii is tropical and even though we have never experienced ants in our 15 plus past visits to Hawaii..we have experienced other insects so I would NOT take a star away - I wish I could book the room again but there is basically NO availability the rest of the year and the first of 2023 which is a huge BUMMER! Highly Highly recommend this room - just a great overall location and room.

Rented this unit for the ocean view and it didn’t disappoint. Unit was older but in good shape.

Cons: fans are noisy, went cheap on the supplied paper products ( single ply toilet paper and no facial tissues) unit was very hot when we arrived, took a few hours to cool off (no a/c).

This Condo was exactly as pictured. Having the lanai directly overlooking the ocean was ideal for us. We spent alot of time on the lanai eating and enjoying the sunsets. Having beach chairs/towels/snorkel equipment available to use was a great bonus. Having a washer/dryer in the condo was also a great plus for us. The location was perfect for us, a very safe neighborhood and we did walk to the Kailua Bay/downtown area for "touristy" shops/restaurants. Be aware that there is no air conditioning in this unit, but that was fully disclosed in the original listing description and with fans utilized, we were comfortable throughout our stay. Yes, there were ants in the unit, maintenance is trying to control the ants, but this is also a tropical climate area and bugs/insects are going to be present. We would highly recommend this condo unit to everyone.

Outdated furnishings and fixtures. Needs lots of updates. Cleanliness was ok, missed few areas like cabinet handles were sticky. Coffee maker and toaster rusted out and dirty. Ants over the counter wasn't so inviting. Good to have reserve parking. Location is great, short drive to main part of town, walkable but not recommended as it is long walk on a busy road with no sidewalks. View from the balconay is awesome. Price was too high for what it is, especially the cleaning and other fees they tag onto the bill (cleaning fee which is a joke, and damage protection fee is also a joke since the place is not really spot on!) Would I go there again, NOPE!.

We are extremely disappointed by your review, and this is one of the only negative reviews we have received on the unit. We certainly apologize if the cleaning was less then exceptional to you. Ants are a challenge here in the tropics, and the unit is professionally treated quite consistently, but impossible to avoid all together. We will ask the home owner about purchasing a new coffee maker and toaster..The salt can be tough on oceanfront properties, so the heating element for the coffee maker can get wear quite quickly.
The toaster being stainless steel will also age quite quickly when it comes to salt air, very sorry you weren't expecting this. You paid a price of $145 per night for an oceanfront 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit. An incredible deal for what you get, so your complaint about the price is not only shocking, it's quite disrespectful. We wish you all the best in traveling to other destinations other than our incredible Big Island of Hawaii.

What a spectacular view! Condo has everything you needed. Cooler, boogie boards, beach chairs for a great day at the beach. Kitchen was well equipped. Beds were comfortable. Word to the wise, NO A/C! It gets VERY hot and humid, especially at night. Fans are provided that give a touch of relief if you're in front of them. Sheets are microfiber and get sticky at night. Lanai was wonderful to sit and watch people and birds of many type. We had a great time! Condo is clean and easy to keep up if you have a long stay like we did. Pool on sight is perfect! Grounds are kept beautiful too!

Last minute choice due to another company canceling us for new owner contract issues. so we were lucky to find this condo and management company. This place was excellent. We toured the island everyday and came back in time for the sunset outside on the balcony/lanai. The view was perfect.
Plenty of room for 2 adults and probably two more.
Pros- Convenient location away from the main Kona area but not too far if you want to go there.
-beautiful sunsets right at your doorstep.
-Price was right
-Clean
-Quiet
-Many Fans
-Check-in/out super easy... maybe because of covid, if not keep it that way
Cons- No AC. even thought we were only inside to sleep, it got stuffy sometimes in the bedroom and about 70-75 degrees. (warm for us) Even with 4 fans on we needed the Cooler Freeze Pack to put on our necks to cool us down. Rest of condo not so stuffy. I would have paid a tad bit extra rent if they had a small AC in the bedroom at least. Even with the windows/balcony door open breeze didn't come through most times.
-public salt water pool at sunset didn't attract the best people but they didn't come on condo property. I'm not a fan of marijuana smell or the likes which came toward to balcony but again they stayed on that side of the property wall and left soon after sunset.
-lock on door was kind of like a bedroom lock not a main door lock... (Deadbolt type would be nice)
Would definitely stay here again...!!!!
and would even consider buying at that location after retirement.

You couldn’t beat the view from this condo. Watching the whales go by from the lanai was amazing. Bed was comfortable and I have lower back issues so that was a plus. Furniture wasn’t very comfortable it not awful. All in all we would stay here again

A lot of good to say about this place and a few things that could have been a little better. Location and view were great. The unit was clean, but as most vacation rentals could use a little TLC. The bed was soft but comfy. It is a end unit and the path to the salt water pool is just outside the bedroom window, witch can git noisy at night. All so the ocean sounds great but at night it can wake you up when the waves crash. The owners and the manager are the most unfriendly of any place I have ever stayed. Getting past all that and all and all it is a great place to stay and the unit is well stocked for fun in the sun.

We’ve made multiple vacation trips to the Hawaiian Island and find each Island different. This was our first trip to the Big Island but won’t be our last. We found the Kona Isle unit E24 perfect. As described, it was newly remodeled. We loved that they had removed the wall between the kitchen and living room, updated the cabinets, installed granite and a dishwasher. By removing the wall, the unit had an open concept and utilized the square footage better. It did not have air conditioning, but we felt the cross breeze from the ocean was sufficient. The bath tub had been removed as part of the remodel and a modern shower was outstanding because it was so easy to get in and out of. The view from the lanai is breathtaking, the sunsets award winning and you’re so close to the bulkhead that you can hear the wave’s crash against the rocks. If you’re looking for a gentle beach to swim, I would suggest driving to somewhere else. If you’re looking for a quiet place, with wonderful residents, good accommodations and fairly close to town I highly recommend staying here.

We spent a full month is this vacation condo and it was an exceptional experience. We stayed in the one next door for a week a number of years ago and were determined that we would return to this complex for a longer period of time when we got the opportunity. Booking with Knutson was an easy experience. Arrival at the condo went smoothly (we arrived at night and had to access the key in the lock box). The condo was clean and ready for us with a few starter supplies that carried us over until we could purchase our own. The view from this condo is 'out of this world'. We could not get enough of watching the waves come in, the salt water pool(which my husband loved) as well as the more than occasional entertainment the whales provided. On departure we were lucky enough to get a late departure because we had a night flight. I would definitely recommend E24 to fellow travelers.... in fact we did so to friends and they have already booked a week over next Christmas! I would also highly recommend Knutson as the go to agency for the Kona area. Just one tiny suggestion for the owners: the pillows on the bed desperately need to be replaced!

We have stayed many times at the Kona Isle and our favorite unit is E24. We enjoy the oceanfront view and watching all the action on the water. We've met many owners who are there for the winter and enjoy seeing them every year when we return. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained by Brian, who is always available to help. We look forward to returning every January. Stayed 35 nights this year.
